Our apartment is in Fonte Salgada, on the outskirts of Tavira town. A top floor, 3 bed apartment with stunning sea views from our roof terrace. Comfortably furnished and equipped to ensure a true "home from home" for you and your family in this popular holiday destination in the Eastern Algarve.

The location makes it an ideal base to tour the area. Spain is about 20 mins away, take a ferry crossing into Ayamonte. Seville is about an 1hr 30 mins drive. Western Algarve is easily accessible, Albufeira is about an hour away. Organised tours are available.

Lots to do and see

A mix of fabulous beaches, local golf courses, a good variety of restaurants, wet and wild fun, including safari tours, kite surfing lessons, kayaking on the river, birdwatching and walking. For both young and old there is plenty to enjoy for the discerning visitor.

Enjoy seeing the sights of Tavira using the little train which takes you through the cobbled streets, or the very reasonably priced horse and carriage.

The Eastern Algarve is still unspoilt by commercialism. The Portuguese traditions held dear by the locals, are in evidence, from the local fishermen offloading their catch, to the market hall traders, selling their fresh produce and crafts. At Fiesta time, at the end of June there are fancy dress parades, gala balls and lots of dancing in the streets, a real fun time for all.
